BangCock

DAY 1

I have finally arrived at Suvanarbhumi Airport at 2:45pm sharp. BUT I'm still here waiting for my baggage after 45mins. Hmmphh.. Lucky theres wifi in the airport so I can kill some time. I'll continue when I come back from BKK. Ciao!

When I got out from the airport, I met a Thai taxi driver who spoke Cantonese. He told me that he was a Cantonese born in Thai. We chatted all the way to our hotel. He was such a friendly and hospitable taxi driver, blessed with a beautiful wife and son. Initially when I saw his son's photograph that was stuck to his windscreen, I told him that he must have a very beautiful wife. Without a doubt he nodded his head and proudly said "Yes, my wife is indeed very beautiful :)". How often do you get a man praising his wife? Well, I don't really see that in Asian men. Anyway the journey took us about 1 hour 30 minutes for only 400baht from the airport.

He took a detour as he thought I was staying at "THE" Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. Oh I wish ;)

But actually I was staying at "Four Seasons International House" which is located at 4/41 Soi Petchuburi 19. The hotel is just minutes walk away from Pratunam, the wholesale area. We were just opposite Platinum Mall (a MUST go, everything at wholesale price and you can shop with air-con)

I got to the hotel at around 6.30pm, called May and Billie came down to smuggle me into our room number 807. The room was only 1400baht per night and we four decided to bunk in together and save the baht for shopping ;). When I got into our room, the girls have already had one round of shopping and were busy fashion-showing with their new clothes. The room was quite alright, not too bad, clean and most important is convenient to our shopping area, all within walking distance.

I was so so hungry, I had my lunch at Marry Brown in LCCT before my flight around 1230pm. So we quickly ran down to the stalls by the alleys hoping to get my first dosage of Thai Beef Noodles! Unfortunately, all they had was Thai Pork Noodles. Will do too, all I had to do was to put some sugar and chilli powder into my soup and have my first meal of the day in Bangkok!

I present to you PLATINUM MALL

After 5 trips shopping in Bangkok, I found that the best place to shop is here. Platinum Mall consists of 6 floors of Fashion, Shoes, Accessories and a Foodcourt at the top floor. You can find anything and everything here at wholesale price. All you have to do is to ask for the price of ONE piece, and then ask again for the wholesale price. For example, if one top is priced at 300baht, the wholesale price will most probably be 180/200baht provided you must take more than one piece. Sometimes, you can also get some tops or dresses at 80baht per piece!!! Seriously can go crazy shopping here. Platinum Mall shops closes at 7pm. All wholesale area shops opens at 10am and closes at 7pm.

This is my infamous shop located on the 3rd floor of Platinum Mall. This photo was taken the first time I came to Bangkok.

After Platinum, we took a cab at 100baht to Suan Lum Night Bazaar (Branded Market). Things are more expensive here but you can find alot of vintage and nice things. Not much photos were taken here so I'm gonna make use of my photos taken during my first trip.

After a long day walking and shopping how can we miss a Chang beer? *slurp*

Only 350baht for 2 hours! How can we not go for a single massage this trip! Billie and I wanted to go but the rest were too tired to stay back. Argghhhh...I want my massage!
This concludes DAY 1 at Bangkok.

DAY 2

Shopping at Platinum Mall again from dawn till dark. At 8pm we started to get ready for the event of the night. The so-called "Edition Bangkok Festival 2009" that cost us all a freaking RM180 for a ticket, better make sure it is more happening than any of our Genting raves. Unfortunately it was a flop.

DAY 3

Walking around in Platinum Mall again but this time around I had to be good and refrain from my shopping impulsiveness. Only bought a few tops for mom and sis, and got two pair of leather shoes as a gift. Thank you. Superstition.

That night, we went to the famous RCA, where the most happening street and clubs are located. We chosed FLIX and had a wonderful night there, 10 times more happening than Phuture! Yes its true, Babygirl you can kiss Phuture goodbye after coming to RCA!

Present to you RCA (Royal City Avenue)!

FLIX

Flix/Slim

Open: 17:00 - 02:00
Location: RCA Block C, Rama 9 Road
Contact: +66 (0)2 203 0377-8
Subway: Phetchaburi

Don’t be intimidated by the colossal size of this club on RCA. In keeping with the current trend of RCA, Flix/Slim consists of three major rooms.
Flix DJ's are spinning quite banging house tunes. The sweeping exterior is impressive and so is the room on the left (Flix) with a giant chandelier suspended from the ceiling.

An intoxicating night with lots of cheap Thai alcohol, only 1700bath (RM170) per bottle of whisky. The night ended, wishing we can party in RCA every weekend.

DAY 4

The last day was pretty much relaxing, went for my last minute shopping and to grab whatever last items i need. Wanted to go for massage but failed to find one good place. In the end had a one hour massage for 500baht. It was pretty expensive. Another trip has ended and back to reality.
