Aquarians will be wrapping it up in more ways than one this December. This last year wasn't exactly a walk in the park. Money was tight and family issues cumbersome. You'll also be ending a long term project this month-one you've poured a lot of energy into in recent weeks. A renovation, a research project, restructuring at the office or a creative piece has finally been completed. Offer yourself a pat on the back, but don't forget to keep moving. You'll need to keep up the momentum to face the challenges to come in 2010. By the middle of the month you should be in the thick of holiday preparations. Shop light and finish up the gifts you have made. If you are offering services such as house painting, lawn care, cooking or babysitting, write some poems to go with the present and present it all in a pretty card. You can make colorful cards on your computer and use pretty fonts to gussy them up so they are suitably festive. Simultaneous to all this, start a work-out regimen that is demanding, yet sustainable. Aquarians do well exercising with partners. Find a buddy who wants to go to the gym with you.. Their presence will help to motivate both of you. Together you will push each other to work harder and show up with greater regularity. Remember, you want to look your best at holiday parties. You Pisceans will be feeling a bit anxious as you cross the threshold into December. Negative energy may have targeted you lately. You are beginning to feel a mite more sensitive and even somewhat defeated. You have been taking things personally - constructive criticism which actually has nothing to do with who you are as a person. Be kinder to yourself. Listen and learn if there is anything to gain. Anyone who has been toxic to your positive frame of mind should be completely eliminated from your entourage. You Pisceans are fragile. It has cost you greatly to develop a thicker skin this year. Avoid negative people. Erase them. Get ready to enjoy an upbeat holiday season. You cup is half full now. Keep it that way. Your holidays will be bright and cheery. They promise to pave the way to a thrilling transition into the Year of the Tiger. December may be your last chance to offer someone you love a genuine act of kindness. Splurge and offer to assist them in doing something that's too difficult to do by one's self. Help paint their house or pitch in and build that addition on their house with them. Aries

Family and friends will be magnetized by you this month. Be sure to spend quality time with them without being distracted from your greater goals. They will want to wine and dine you and your company will be incessantly sought after. Draw the line. Say "No". But say it gently and add a polite "Thank you." Give them some of your spare time on weekends without compromising either sleep or work. You are flattered to know that your presence is so desirable, but you must look out for number one this month. Your money sector seems to be gaining strength this month. Work is moving smoothly now and your bank account reflects that. Be sure to keep up the pace. The Ox will still be watching till February 14, of 2010. Also, the first few months of next year might drain your resources a bit. You will face a few surprise expenses. Save those shekels and stash that cash. You'll be needing it. Around the 24th you should exercise extra caution on the road. Taurus

You may be feeling a bit weary as you march into December. Hard work comes naturally to you but sometimes you get worn thin and you wonder when the madness will subside. Fast cars and loud noises begin to rattle your brain and your body holds the tensions in all the wrong places, causing aches and pains and making you cranky. December will be a month for Taureans to indulge in a bit of relaxation. On weekends, instead of racing around getting ready for the holidays. Sleep late. Take naps. Go to bed early and after you take that hot bath in the evening, watch charming movies that put you in the mood for peaceful sleep. No mummies or ghosts, shooting or wanton blood-letting please. If you cold afford it, I might recommend taking off to a spa or secluded resort for the holidays. Maybe you and your sweetie can pool your resources and go together. You have earned it. Take a long weekend. Pack your bags, leave work behind, and turn off your cell phone. Free yourself from the needs and demands that you are normally so attentive to. Your own happiness should at last be your number one priority. At the spa, Get a massage. Sleep a lot. Pleasure read. Make love in the afternoon. Rediscover the joys of aimlessness and leisure time. Do whatever it takes to get yourself into a positive frame of mind. 2010 will be throwing us all a few curveballs. You will need to grab the frenzied Tiger year (starts Feb 14 2009) by the tail and run with it.

Gemini

Geminis will be on the run during the month of December. For some reason your attendance is required everywhere right now. Be it a holiday party, a funeral or an important policy meeting at your workplace, they want you there in person. People are counting on you for your cool confidence and skilled articulation. Even when you feel like a wall flower, your presence is felt and appreciated by all. By December, you should be well on the way to some sort of serious love commitment. If not, if you suspect something fishy about that person you met on the net and had in mind perhaps to marry or live with, better to wait till well after the Chinese New year (Feb 14, 2010) before welding yourself to anyone new. Let yourself be treated to a romantic vacation in early December. Go somewhere close before the rush of the holidays and commotion of family sets in. Buy something new for the bedroom such as lingerie or massage oil. Spice up the passion. Most of all, use this time of intimacy between the two of you to ask some salient questions. Despite the sometimes roller coaster character of 2009, you have made it through another calendar year. I must applaud you for your determination and well-paced navigation of this rather chaotic period in your life. This December you can take some time to concentrate on existing more simply in your daily life. Yoga or meditation would offer you some much needed peace of mind, help you to gather strength and tune into your inner energy source. Health looks robust now. Take yourself and family on weekend hikes. Go for trips to the countryside where there are woodstoves and fireplaces to keep you cozy. Dress warmly and wear the proper shoes so you don't get cold or wet. Head, feet and chest are the key areas to keep warmest. Or, if you live below the equator, head for the beaches now. Spend Christmas in a bathing costume and frolic in summer surf. Joining a community sports team in December could be a way to have fun, get more exercise and meet new people. Not into sports? Maybe it's time to consider getting a dog... there is nothing like a furry friend to motivate you to go for walks. Be sure that you can care for the critter adequately before making the commitment. Make arrangements for all such eventualities to be avoided before you take off. set aside time to deal with business by email or phone when you are away. You will have done a yeoman's job of navigating the narrow straits of the rigorous Ox year 2009 and exiting intact. Scorpio

Winding up this year of intensive labor should prove both joyful and exciting. I mention the Earth Ox again because most of this year 2009 has been ruled by that symbol of duress and exertion. If you showed yourself to be up to the tasks handed you (either by yourself or by others), you will now begin to reap the rewards of your travail. These returns will not arrive solely as financial gains; but, you will also have earned a strong sense of accomplishment and relief at having "stuck it out" under the iron rule of the dictator. Earth Ox can be a kindly tyrant, but his aim is to keep people in line in order to get a job done. As we all know, this year the Ox had his hands full trying to put the economies of the world back on track. Hence, you were obliged to follow - or fail - by frittering away your time and energies in vapid pursuits. Knowing your taste for achievement, I expect you were guilty of the former (following the rules) and did not waste the year courting babes and/or picking up dudes for frolicsome rolls in the hay. Holidays this year will allow you time to kick back. Don't eat too much or spend all your money. The crisis may seem to be less crucial right now... but it is far from over.

Sagittarius

While your tendency to overdo everything can be rather endearing, this month might be just the right time to try to be a bit more restrained. Don't plunge into the madness of the holiday season. Shopping and cooking, inviting people and drinking and eating too much is sheer folly. I am not suggesting you don a hair shirt and eat macrobiotic turkey for Christmas . But you should make an effort to maintain a balanced diet, cut back on how much you drink and even cut back on late nights and parties you attend. Yes. It is fun to participate in all the funky disco and dance till dawn under the stars. But you could be spoiling all the progress you have made with your health problems so far this year. Is it really worth it? It sounds corny I know, but try spending some time in yoga classes. Practice meditation. Those activities will occupy any voids and fill up otherwise empty moments where you might otherwise have been tempted to grab another turkey sandwich slathered with mayonnaise and butter. This year has been a veritable roller coaster for you Sagittarius. if you don't want a repeat ride on that scary kind of amusement park attraction in 2010, Take control of your excesses. If you don't intend to take my advice, double up on that health insurance policy now.

Capricorn

You've made it through 2009 without undue misery, Capricorn. None the less finances have been tight, your love life has been about as stable as the Argentine economy, and your family life has reared its niggly little head more than once. But you have made strides. And that's what is important. In December, you may suffer a loss. It appears material. A car gives up the ghost? A lover defects? A parent suddenly divorces and gets remarried right under your nose? Don't take it too hard. Wait it out. Work on your art and continue to develop your skills. December will also give you time to scour the nooks and crannies of both house and head so that you can start the New Year with a clean slate. Get rid of old junk around the house. Strive for minimalism. Organize your office. Do you have an outdated system of keeping information straight? I recommend going paperless. Pay your bills online and start an electronic database for storing any necessary information. Paper files are so 1999. Get with the times, Capricorn. You will save loads of energy and time if you accept the conveniences of modernity. You can retain some of your more charming conservative qualities like insisting on sending snail mail and choosing the perfect postage stamps for the recipients. But strive for more office efficiency. Enjoy the holidays. But watch your tendency to squander money. 2010 will improve your life immeasurably. But you will need some cash to get it started on the right footing.

AQUARIUS

It looks like your romantic sector will be somewhat vacant in November. All the better. Take this time to focus on self and sort out your emotions. Reserve time in your day to pleasure read, as this will be necessary food for thought. Spend as much time as possible with friends. They offer you great comfort, and their company is a refuge from the vicissitudes of your frenzied life. With the onslaught of holiday shopping upon us all, be sure to start counting your pennies. You must not overspend this season. Seek creative alternatives for gift giving ideas. How about making your own gifts. Homemade scarves, a set of napkins or offers of manpower or other services throughout the year make great presents. If you are superstitious this November might spook you a bit. A spate of coincidences may occur and set you thinking about why? You meet someone new, and they are oddly connected to someone you have known for decades. Then that person you've known forever rings you from Berlin to say they ran into your ex sister-in-law at the airport. After three or four of these flukes, you may begin to think you're haunted. My advice? Follow up on all coincidence. If there are a lot happening at once, it means you are on the right path. That should not make you feel uneasy. On the contrary it's a very positive sign that better things are about to happen in a series.

PISCES

Family feuds may plague you Pisceans this November. Are some family members jealous of you? Or of a sibling? Money certainly does bring out the worst in people. Prepare for some vicious bickering about an inheritance or a shared family cost. Someone feels they have not been treated fairly and they are making a national issue out of it. I advise you bring in an outside mediator to help negotiate a solution which suits one and all. Don't allow this matter to get out of hand and be taken to court. In situations like this one, lawyers and trials are more costly than they are worth. Plus which, they usually end up pitting one side against the other for life - if not longer. November will be a good time for you to get rid of excess belongings. Clean out cluttered closets and donate clothes that molder at the bottom of your dresser drawers. Sort through old papers and fine-tune your organizational system in the office and home. Your success will be at its peak early next year. You will be needing to function at maximum efficiency and be super organized by then. Pragmatism is not your specialty, but the Ox year has helped you learn to gain strength. The person in authority who is interested in taking you to dinner? I suppose you found out she is married, has four kids and has been to bed with everyone who's anyone at the workplace. Bow out gracefully as only you very agile Pisceans can.

ARIES

Looks like you are in the middle of a sprint toward a well-defined objective. Working on a lengthy project at work? Writing your first masterpiece? Involved in a political campaign or a battling with a creative pursuit? Well, November 2009 will be the month to plow forward. If you have been looking after yourself, you should be able to leave no energy untapped. To get where you need to be, don't be afraid to use your charm and gift of gab to get your foot in the door. It has not been the easiest year for your clan, and camaraderie topped with staunchly spiked egg nog is much appreciated. Be sure to respect that tight budget when planning the festivities. Think ahead. Find inexpensive decorations or plump up the ones from last year. Decide not to lavish electrical flashers all over the garden or house this year. Cook all of your food at home to avoid pricey catering. Save save save. Panicky about holiday shopping? What to buy? The answer is not much. Start now to think of how you can save on gifts. You are creative. Why not write individual poems for everybody? Or make your gifts yourself. Knit, sew, paint, make jams or bake cookies.

CANCER

Your personal life is relatively secure at this moment. Take advantage of the lull in family conflict to concentrate on your own goals. If family problems crop up again in December, consider making an appointment with a family therapist. Your energies this month should be spent on work matters. A new prospect is emerging in now that will need to be capitalized on in the beginning of 2010. Start planning now. A new market for your project or service is likely to emerge. Remain informed. For single Cancers, it look as if a quirky Capricorn will be pulling at your heartstrings this month. You've been noticing this austere character for weeks and are not entirely sure how to approach them. Why not ask if they would do you the honor of accompanying you to the theater or to a concert? Get dressed in your Sunday best. Get into the holiday spirit early. And catch those admiring looks on your friends' faces when they check out how magnificent your house looks now. Romance, either with someone new or with your current squeeze, will be rekindled at this shindig. Take your passion to new heights in your splendid new abode.

SCORPIO

At the start of this month of November, you'll be experiencing some minor annoyances in the form of phone calls and email from people you have long since decided not to frequent anymore. Despite how occupied you are in your daily work life, and no matter how crowded a schedule you have, make it your business to spare an evening or a weekend day for this work. You might want to teach the language of your country to immigrants or show kids how to slam dunk baskets, direct a choir or teach little ones Christmas carols or other songs they can learn to sing together.

SAGITTARIUS

You will be feeling more yourself than ever. I say that because I see definite signs of wanderlust in your immediate future. It must be time to pack your suitcase again, Sadge. You're off and running. Your boss must be an astrologer. He or she certainly chose the right person for the right job. It involves scads of travel and there is nothing you fancy more. Whether it's a weekend mountain jaunt to check out the prices of chalets in Switzerland or a business deal with a Monterey fishery, your stars are showing a change of scenery and a spate of much-needed adventure. Take along your laptop and your I phone. Make sure you remain in touch with the head office as well with friends and family who are always on the qui vive when you are abroad in the world. At the beginning of this month you could encounter a new love interest. The chemistry could be dynamite. But he or she may be married. If you decide to take up with this newcomer, make sure you know what you are getting into. For those who are in relationships, you may discover a new dimension to your lover that you had never guessed at before. Looks like you took my advice and lightened up, Capricorn. Ever since that cyber lover turned out to be such a fine person, you have gained confidence in life and in yourself. You may even have adopted something of a carpe diem philosophy. Your sauciness might be infecting those around you in brilliant ways. Your friends call you more often and invite you to go places with them. You bring something original and spontaneous to their lives now. November will be the perfect month to spend time with them. Be sure not to fall behind on your work. The freedom that you are feeling these days should not turn into a laissez-faire approach. Manage your days at work efficiently so that you can maximize play time while you're off the clock. If you have kids, beware of an unsavory babysitter or nanny this month. They may not be as trustworthy as advertised. When you aren't around they may be taking off the mask treating your children harshly. Check references carefully. Family considerations are going to crowd the end of this month. In the United States, it's time to give thanks for the financial crisis and all the penury it has caused the citizens.
