She's Getting Married!

Yesterday afternoon, Pixie messaged me;

Pixie: Babe, can you lend me a pair of ears tonite?

Me: Just a pair of ears? Can I send over?

Pixie: Niasing!

After work I called her;

Me: Can we go to MCDs instead of KimGary?

Pixie: Can can..

Me: What's the news? Getting married ah?

Pixie: No LAR! Tell you later.

Me: Whoa, so secretive. Ok see you later.

I called her again at 9.30pm which was the agreed meeting time, as usual she was just coming out from her house. Hence she told me to leave the house 10 minutes later.

When I arrived at MCDs, there was no Pixie to be found. I thought I went to the wrong outlet. There are two MCDs in SS15. But usually we always always go to the drive-thru outlet. Turned out, she and JC were in the kids area.

JC: MMC! So long never see. The last time I saw you was at Bil's birthday.

Me: Wat so long, two weeks ago only whut.

JC: But it feels like forever.

Me: So what does our Lil Pixie want to announce? Are you pregnant? Getting married?

Pixie: No lar... *smiles* Let's wait for Yvonne.

Then SW walked in. I wondered to myself, what is happening? How come she called everyone?

JC: Hi, LSW. You always look glowing these days. So in love hor?

SW all in smiles....

Me: JC, you're also glowing whut. All those in love are glowing.

SW: So whats the news?

Pixie: Wait for Yvonne.

Me: Omgosh..what is it...tell...

Pixie: Errrr......I saw something I shouldn't see.

SW: Saw what?

Pixie: Saw something in text messages. When we were in Bali, someone texted him few times "I miss you" and "What are you doing?". And he deleted all sent messages and there was no name saved in his mobile.

The story became more alive and more input came in with the help of JC.

I believed every word in her story, not once I doubted her.

But she seemed very calm althou its unlike her, but then again there are many times when she is calm and mature.

We asked, so you didn't ask him about it until now?
Some said, "I can't believe you can "tahan" so long. If it was me, I would drive him up the wall and down."

Pixie: Why is it that when all of you girls are dating, I will be the odd one out.

JC: Please lar, when all of you girls are in love, I was also single for so long.

SW: Men, really aih.

Me: Aih. Anything can happen and everything happens for a reason. If he is yours, he is yours. Do you think he is a good man? If you think he is then you must talk to him. Maybe it's not to the extent to what you think.

Then I started to think about my past.
My mind brought me back to the days when I was so low and Pixie told me "Don't worry, you are one step to recovery."
Just ONE step.
Every step was so slow so long. It felt like forever. Nights on the single bed alone with my pillow and the worn t-shirt that I took home to keep to sleep to. Does she have to go through all that?
Another cycle?

I really believed her, and I empathized with her, of course with my own added thoughts.

Then I JC and SW started talking about other things, JC seemed very relaxed and not bothered at all.

I looked at Pixie, seemed like she is trying not to show her emotions.

I believed her again.

Yvonne arrived and asked what's the big news? I rushed all the way here from Pavilion!

Then JC started to tell the story.
I thought to myself, howcome JC is telling the sad news?

Suddenly, Pixie showed something on one of her fingers.
I saw something *sparkle*

It was a ring....

A ring so special, it had a knot and a big diamond in the middle of the knot.
It is said that its a knot to tie two lovers together.

This is the wedding ring that Ryan held in his trembling hands, shyly knelt down and proposed to her last week in Bali.

Apparently she was so shocked that her first reaction was that she knelt down together with him.

She asked "What are you doing baby?"

The thought of her being so blur is so cute!

He planned that from the very beginning.

You always asked him when he is gonna propose.

How can he not make it more surprising?

BUT..........

This is supposed to be a happy good news!

I don't understand why they made up such a bad story over a real proposal story.

And I believed everything she said then!

Indeed, I was shocked and feelings were mixed up in that whole 30 minutes. 

I didn't know how to react.

Anyway I am so very happy for you.

Truly am.

Noriko

Noriko was my childhood best friend when I was 7 years old.
I finally found her in facebook.

Shoji looked exactly like Noriko when she was young

Although our friendship was short, we spent every single day together when we were neighbours living in Jalan Foo Kan Yik, Ipoh.

We used to climb up to our tree house in her garden, pretend to live on the branches and even take naps on the branches. Other times, we would be snooping and crawling around her house pretending to be spies. Most of the time we are cycling around the neighbourhood. Cycling is our favourite past time. Sometimes, we would climb over Aunt Foo's house for a swim. Those times were my best childhood memories.

Billie

Billie is the first girl I know who has this unique name. When we introduced ourselves in October 2004, she said her name was Billie with an "e". She proudly said that it is a guy's name but it is also her name. I thought to myself, this girl has a unique personality and her name really suit her, a feminine and masculine name. From then onwards, her name is stuck on my mind, the Billie with an e.

Billie is such a jovial and friendly girl. She should be called Billie Jovial. She is always smiling, melting hearts everywhere she goes. Whenever she is around, you will hear her laughter and her NEVERending stories. Sometimes, she appears to be naive but under that pure innocence lies a strong and matured girl. Billie is not only beautiful, she has a kind heart. You don't get to meet people with a kind heart and the face of an angel often. Billie is that girl. She is an angel, my angel. Through the years, she has always been there. She is the kind of girl who will stand by you no matter what happens. She will help whatever she can even if she doesn't have the capability to do it. She is never short of offering. She is all about giving. How can one not love her and cherish her? She has a unique mind, so unique sometimes you need to digest or process when she speaks, because she speaks so quickly and with a cute slang in her words. But I love the way she speaks because it makes you smile in your heart and you laugh a genuine laugh. I love her lambness and her kainess. That is Billie! When she is not around, I start to miss her voice, althou sometimes naggy and noisy, I miss her "Gimme gimme more, gimme gimme". :) hehe. I will always remember the time we spent talking till dawn and dipping our little feets into the pool at P.D with sunglasses, talking and laughing at Chin swimming in the children's pool. Oh how I miss all our time spent together, with you my lil sister. I always wanted to have a younger sister and god sent you to me. I thank you for everything. Delia treats me Japanese and Starbucks Coffee. Delia plans outings, trips and holidays. Delia is always the one who does the most behind the scene for all my birthdays. Delia chosed the Blue Roses and the Bluebelle Cake. Delia chosed the ipod and the Recycled-Paper Birthday Box. Delia goes to my bazaars aka flea markets and sits in my lil stall the whole day just to accompany me. Delia walks with me, patiently watches and gives opinions while i dig for wedding dresses. Delia is always ahead and on time because she treasures the time spent together with the girls. I remember everything you are and everything you have done for me and you touched my heart deeply and I know that all you want is to put a smile on my face. You have given me so much joy in this life and you have taught me to be giving and patient. I'm so grateful to have you, a sister and good friend in my life.

You deserve all the good things in your life and just remember to be yourself. The DELIA i will always remember and LOVE.

On 21.03.09, my best friend Carrine will be getting married. I am so excited and happy for her. I still remember one night on her birthday when she called me and said "Darling, guess what?". Instantly I knew that Larry had proposed to her during her birthday. He proposed to her on a birthday dinner at a cruise in front of all their good friends.




I don't know why I don't know how, I knew it just by hearing her excited voice. I guess this is because in some ways we are in-tune with each other, thats why we call ourselves soulmates. There were many times we understood each other so much because we shared the same experiences on our loved ones, friends and family. We stood by each other in moments of sadness or happiness, we motivated each other no matter how hard life gives and how much obstacles we have to go through. We have a pact, a pact that only "US" understand and will follow through for our HAPPINESS.

LaLaLu, i don't know how this lalalu came about, something from Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie if i can still remember :) . It is two days from your wedding, now suddenly I have so much emotions over it thinking about you, your wedding and everything we have been through, the rough and the happy times. When I was asked by you to give a speech on your wedding, I panicked and was lost for words, worrying how I would look or sound like having to speak in front of so may people, thats why I thought of making you a memorable video, a video of good friends wishing both you and Larry sweet thoughts for a wonderful marriage and lifetime together forever and ever. You always know that I'm never a natural in front of audience or the camera, if it was you in the video I'm sure it will turn out beautifully because you are such a natural. Last night, finally, after many failed attempts having to bring the heavy video camera to Phuture and M.O.S, hoping to catch some friends to make some wishes and comments, we have successfully finished shooting the maids of honor and bridesmaid's video for you and Larry.
