Bangkok Must Go Places

This is for Babygirl.
ENJOY the weekend, my dear.

DAY MARKET

***CHATUCHAK MARKET –
ONLY SAT & SUN 8.00am-6.00pm
(You must go there on both days)
Normally a top or dress is priced at 300baht, must bargain at least 50% less. Example, you tell them if I take 2 pieces from your shop give me 300-350baht, something like that. Or take 3 pieces for 450-500baht.
35 acres, contains more than 15 000 shops and stalls

The best way to get here is on the Skytrain, Mo Chit station is only about five minutes walk away from the market. Finding your way from the station is easy - just follow the large crowd of people that will also be heading to/from there (right). Alternatively, many buses go past here: Ordinary buses 3, 8, 26, 27, 28, 34, 38, 39, 44, 52, 59, 74, 77, 96, 97, 104, 108, 112, 134, 136, 138, 145 and air-con buses 2, 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 29, 38, 39, 44, 136 and 138. To get a taxi ask for suan jatujak (Chatuchak park, where the market is held), or print out the instructions below and give them to the driver.

MALL (DAY & NITE)

**PLATINUM MALL (WHOLESALE MALL) – located in Pratunam
IF YOU HAVE TIME MUST WALK THE ENTIRE MALL

This massive wholesale mall is a source for retail shops all around Bangkok, from Khao San Road to Siam Square. You'll find many of the same brands at Chatuchak. Bargain hunters can still pay wholesale prices by purchasing a minimum of three pieces from the same store. If you are lucky you can pay the wholesale price for just two pieces. With more than 1,300 shops, you'll need at least four hours to get through the mall.
The five-story mall offers everything to make shopping easier: 1,500-car parking facility, washrooms on every floor, a colossal food court, air-conditioninig and spacious aisles. If you are looking for clothing Platinum Fashion mall is much more convinient than Chatuchak.
Normal priced at 350baht, bargain to get 3 pieces at 160baht each.

SECONDARY MALLS -
ONLY IF U HAVE MORE TIME

**KRANGTONG MALL (SMALL WHOLESALE MALL) – located in Pratunam (directly opposite Platinum Mall)
You can find a lot of whole shops in smaller scale, have to dig for clothes and must buy 3 pieces.

***BONANZA MALL (SMALL LOW-RISE MALL, something like sg.wang)
There is a shop that sells shoes all for 190-290baht per shoe,
How to get there: From MBK Mall walk from a sky-bridge where Boots & Watson Pharmacy is located.

*MBK MALL (BIG SHOPPING MALL)
You can find anything here something like our shopping mall in KL, big foodcourt. Nothing special if you want to buy cheap stuff. Good for experience only but not for shopping as goods are not cheap.

NIGHT MARKET

*SUAN LUM MARKET – OPENS EVERY NIGHT FROM 6,00pm – 1.00am
It is something like Chatuchak but a little more expensive.
Shopping and food, they have a large open air foodcourt with entertainment there.
Land mark is a Ferris Wheel in the market, can see from far.

NIGHT LIFE (DRINKS & CLUB)

***SIROCCO (MUST GO) - 1055 Silom Road
63rd floor of The Dome at State Tower
Fine dining and drinks

***BED SUPPER CLUB at Soi 11

(700B to get in, but you get 2 drinks for free). Just make sure you have your passport with you, because you won't get in without it.

If you want something different there are many impressive rooftop restaurants and bars in Bangkok, such as the Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar, Sky Bar at The Dome, 360 Lounge at the Hilton Millennium

***VERTIGO GRILL Opening hours: 6.30pm - 11pm (weather permitting)
A must-see in every Bangkok travel itinerary, Vertigo is unlike any other bar-cum-restaurant in the world: some 61 floors above the streets of Bangkok, this open-air rooftop lounge gives true meaning to the word 'vertigo' as it grants views that simply take your breath away.

***MOON BAR Opening hours: 5pm - 1am (weather permitting)
The Moon Bar is one of the highest al-fresco bar in the Asia Pacific

    1. Hi, I do not trust the "famous sellers" now, I really prefer to buy everything from Thailand now, this is where I buy my stuff, for $20 "Personal Shopper Bangkok" (Google it I don't have the exact link) will go shopping for you (anything), cheap and good, I would love to find the same cheap service in Paris or New York !!!

What a special name or nick uve got. I LOVE bangkok so much I couldnt agree with you more. I dont live in Thailand, I wish I was but then again thinking about the pollution I'd rather go there for holidays every year. I am in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I see you are in Indonesia, which part? Architecture is such an interesting subject to major in. Hope to see more of your masterpiece projects soon :)
